Microsoft Dynamics GP must be purchased through a licensed reseller. Choosing the right reseller is the first, and most important step in the software selection process. A qualified reseller will perform your implementation, provide training, and be available for ongoing support.
Microsoft Dynamics GP is licensed per concurrent user. This means you will need a user license for each person that will be in the system at the same time. For example, if you only have three user licenses then only three people can be in the system at once. Additionally, you can purchase limited user licenses (concurrent) that have read only access or self-serve licenses (named user) for users who perform minimal tasks like entering their time and expenses.
Beginning with Dynamics GP 2013, Microsoft has introduced what they call Perpetual Licensing. Perpetual Licensing breaks everything down into what are called packs. There is the required starter pack, an extended pack, and a customization pack. There are also a few a la carte modules available for an additional cost. Because of these options, the cost for the software is directly related to your specific needs.
